Sytem 5 and system 4 CNC model mills were imported from Spain in the same time period. All other model machines made with the Index and Wells-Index logo were made in the USA.

Nov 10, 2014· My dad is slowing down his machine shop and he gave me a Wells-Index 745 vertical mill. I am going to convert this to a 110V motor and get rid of the power feeds. The power feeds are 1/4hp 3 phase, my garage does not even have a 220 line so those are out along with the 3ph motor.
Jan 03, 2017· (I bought my lathe in Wichita Falls - about 250 miles away) So a few days ago I found an ad for this milling machine on EBay. It's in Enid, OK - about 300 miles away. The photos were horrible but I was able to determine that 1) it was an Index Model 645, 2) it came with a milling vise and a rotary table 3) it had a power feed.
